Privacy policy

This page explains what personal data we use, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights.

Updated 8 November 2026

Who is responsible for your data

The controller is Jean Store Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 17553019, whose registered office is at Flat 25 St. Matthew’s Court, 49 Capworth Street, London E10 5AP, United Kingdom. For any question about your data: contact@tech-market-boutique.com or +44 7570 427067. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as this is not required for our business: please write to us directly at the address above.

Applicable law

Jean Store Ltd is established in the United Kingdom. Its processing is governed by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and cookies by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR). Because we offer our products to people in France, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) also applies to that processing (article 3(2)), together with the French Data Protection Act (loi n° 78-17 of 6 January 1978) for cookies.

Showing the website in the right language (English or French)IP address (looked up at the time of the request, not stored), your browser language, the language chosen with the EN / FR switcherOur legitimate interest in showing you the website in your language; strictly necessary cookie to remember your choice

There are no customer accounts yet: your basket, wishlist and comparison list are stored in your browser’s local storage. Details are on our Cookies and local storage page.

Choosing the language

The website is available in English (at the root of the site) and in French (under /fr/). On your first visit, to show you the right language, our server looks up the country of your IP address at the time of the request, in a database installed on our own server (DB-IP “IP to Country Lite”, licensed under CC BY 4.0), and takes into account the language set in your browser (the Accept-Language header). Nothing is stored: neither your IP address nor the country found is recorded for this purpose, and no third-party service is called. If you change language with the EN / FR switcher, your choice is remembered in the tm_lang cookie (see our Cookies and local storage page) and takes priority over this detection.

Analytics

The website uses no analytics or statistics tools, no advertising, no third-party trackers and no embedded social networks. Fonts are hosted on our own server: no request is sent to Google Fonts.

Who receives your data

  • Authorised staff of Jean Store Ltd who handle orders and customer service.
  • Our hosting provider, OVH SAS (2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France), which hosts the website on servers located in Europe.
  • Once orders open: the carrier delivering your parcel, only for the data needed for delivery (name, address, phone number).
  • Once orders open: our secure payment provider, which processes payment data directly (we never see your card number). Its name will be given here before orders open; online payment is not active yet.

We never sell or rent your data.

Transfers between the United Kingdom and the European Union

As Jean Store Ltd is established in the United Kingdom and our hosting provider is in the European Union, your data moves between the two. These transfers rely on adequacy: the United Kingdom recognises the countries of the European Economic Area as providing adequate protection, and the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision for the United Kingdom. We use no processor outside the United Kingdom and the European Union, and no other transfer is planned.

How long we keep your data

Order data for the duration of our business relationship, then archived for the legal retention periods for accounting records (six years in the United Kingdom, ten years in France); customer service messages for three years after the last contact.

Your rights

Under articles 15 to 22 of the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access, rectify and erase your data;
  • restrict processing and data portability;
  • object to processing;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
  • if you live in France, set instructions on what happens to your data after your death (loi n° 78-17).

To exercise your rights, write to us at contact@tech-market-boutique.com. We reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority (ico.org.uk), or, if you live in France, to the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Security

The website is served over HTTPS only. We collect only the data we need and limit access to it to the people who need it.
